Updated Abby

Abby is growing by leaps and bounds....and she is trying to learn how to jump which is really funny.  When she wants to jump into the pool it is more of a fall!  And she and Sebastian have started piling up pillows and jumping into them which makes them giggle.

This week I took Abby out for some mother/daughter time while I photographed her in the first outfit for Josiekat's Trunk.  The outfit was super cute complete with pink pompom trim.  And note....her hair is JUST starting to got long enough that she can wear the smallest of bows.

Working Dog

Leo has been pretty sad during the day while I've been at work.  Cici said he just lays on the couch all day...he doesn't want to go out, eat, or even drink water.  So I checked and management was okay with me bringing him with me to the office.  He was pretty excited about the car ride.  I grabbed a cushion from my sofa and put a blanket over it so he can lay down on the floor right next to me.  He seems pretty happy about it.

Moving Day

For those of you that haven't heard...I am now renting an office in the co-working space called Caroline Collective in the museum district of downtown Houston.  The building is a mix of full-time tenants and part time drop in visitors.  Lot of interesting folks with an open door policy so we'll all get to know each other.  And there are parties.  :-)

Today was my moving day to go from my home office to my new space!  I have a great new desk system from the Container Store to house all my goodies and tomorrow I'll head to Ikea to get a sofa and other decorative items for the space.

The desk setup with my gear.  I still have to add another layer of shelves along the bottom for my second printer.  My big monitor is mounted to the wall so it doesn't take up any desk space.  I'm loving it.

Quick Playground Visit

Just a couple of quick pictures of Abby from a playground visit today in Galveston!  We had the playground to ourselves.

Full Day at the Beach

We started the day at the East Beach on Galveston Island where the annual Sandcastle Competition was taking place.  After some serious naps and dinner we walked down to Pirate's Beach just two blocks from our rental.

The kids and I are spending the weekend down in Galveston.  We arrived late this afternoon to our rental house and Sebastian immediately wanted to try out the hammock.  He did great until he tried to get out when he rolled out and bumped his head on the ground.  Poor baby.

Visiting the San Antonio Zoo

We went to my brother's house in Bulverde TX (just outside of San Antonio) for the holiday weekend.  The kids had a great time playing with their cousins (even though Abby was a little grumpy).  The LOVED visiting the zoo.  I only took a handful of pictures this weekend but here are some from our visit to the zoo.

Crayons Before Breakfast

Abby has discovered crayons and is constantly pointing at the container of them.  Since it makes me super nervous to have her climbing up on a chair to play with them at the table I just let her play with them on the kitchen floor this morning while I made her breakfast.

Gosh, I can't believe it has been almost two weeks since I've updated.  I've been really busy with work (yeah!) and I headed out to Austin for a photography class with my fun sister-in-law!  We had a great time and now we both have lots of changes to make in the way we do business.  Woohoo!

News on our front...potty training has turned a major corner.  Sebastian now runs to the bathroom and does his business - frequently without any announcement except pride after he is done!  We are so proud and excited.  We have also retired his blue doggy which he slept with ever nap and every night since he was born.  The thing was battered and becoming a cause for conflict so we had a rough couple of nights and he has now moved on.

Abby runs around all the time now.  She is so funny.  If you ask her if she is ready for a meal she runs to the table.  If you ask her is she wants a drink, she runs to the cabinet with the cups.  And when we are lucky, we'll ask her if she wants to take a nap and she'll run to the stairs. 

Anyway, posted some pictures of Abby on my Ecor Rouge blog but thought I would post a few here too!  I took her with a friend of mine down to the Rice Village area of Houston and let her run around on the sidewalk to do a more "urban" style photo shoot.  I figured I should practice since she and I were selected to be one of the model/photographer combos for a line of children's clothes! And notice, she is starting to get hair!!!
