Christmas 2009

I can't believe it has been so long since I posted here!  I've been chronicling more of my life via Facebook because it is quick and easy to do from my cell phone and for uploading albums of pictures.  So if you friend me on Facebook you'll be able to catch up with me on my day to day stuff...warning though, I don't accept friend requests from strangers so make sure you send me a personal message with your friend request if you think I won't remember you.  :)

  

This year Sebastian had one request for xmas...a Nerf Sword which Santa brought him.  He also got a Nintendo DS which he didn't know he wanted but has barely left his hands since he got it.

  

Our kitten Sasha was in heaven with all the ribbons to play with on Christmas morning.

  

Abby was her wild and crazy self on Christmas morning.  She really only asked for a Barbie but also got a bunch of plush toys, and a new bike!

Steward Beach - Galveston Island

I took the kids with my cousin Patrick down to Steward Beach in Galveston last weekend and they had a great time.  Can't wait to take them back.  There was LOTS of running back and forth.  More pictures on my Facebook page.

Galveston Beach Pictures

I posted these pictures on my business blog AND facebook but I know that I still have three friends and two family members NOT on facebook so I figured I should post them here as well.

Jay is in Colorado visiting his family and on a complete whim I took the kids to Galveston to visit the beach Saturday afternoon.  They had a great time playing with the sand and in the water and are already asking to go back!  The breezes from the bay really helped keep the temperatures down.

Houston Zoo Time

Sometimes things just work out...like the kids waking up extra early on a Saturday that happens to be a member morning at the Houston Zoo.  Member mornings are when the zoo opens an hour earlier for zoo members which is a great way to beat crowds, and the summer heat!

Really, the zoo is a beautiful place to visit.  It is no mistake that it is a "zoological garden" with beautiful lush landscaping surrounding the exhibits.  And lots of glorious shade making it possible to visit even in the middle of summer.  Sebastian will be going to a week of zoo camp in July and I cannot wait!!!

Here are some photos from our most recent trip.  It is nice that both kids are potty trained and can walk the whole time...no more stroller or diaper bag!!!!

Swim Time

We had a great time swimming in the backyard pool this evening.  Sebastian is really getting confident with his jumping and swimming!  Abby just enjoys being involved.

Bayou Wildlife Park, Alvin TX

While my brother and his family were visiting for Memorial Day, we took the kids to Bayou Wildlife Park.  We had SOOOO much fun and will definitely go back.  The kids were both terrified and excited the whole time. You get to feed the animals up close which is so cool.

A little tired at the end.  The kids all did great the whole day.  We left the house around 10am with 5 kids ages 6 months - 7yrs) and got home around 6pm with all 5 kids and minimal tears!

summer of fun

This weekend my brother and his family came to hang out with us at our house.  The cousins had a BLAST playing together!!!!
